We spruced up the Jetty warehouse a bit with some artwork created by our fabulous Fall Urchins. Tom Murtagh, Dan Al-Daqa, Lydia Owens, Dan Brown & Tyler Hendrickson threw down some cool designs and did a great job for us as we finished up 2011. Speaking of Jetty Urchins (Interns), we are currently accepting resumes/cover letters for our Spring/Summer program. Long Beach Island’s Alliance for a Living Ocean (ALO) wants you to be a surf steward! As surfers we are an “indicator species” meaning that we are physically in the water more then most anybody else, thus we know when there is a problem! The ALO’s new program asks surf instructor’s to incorporate a 1-minute environmental lesson into each surf lesson and goes a step further asking all surfers to be surf stewards for the ocean & beaches.
